Follow Your Dreams

Follow Your Dreams

We are each born on this planet with a unique purpose.

As we grow, we subconsciously get conditioned based on the environment of our friends, family, peers, etc.

This could either be beneficial or detrimental towards our goals.

We have a built in blueprint of the direction of our lives.

Why do we go astray if the path is already known at birth?

Our brains are not fully developed at this time.

We are like sponges.

According to the CDC, the first 8 years of life are the foundation for learning, health, and success.

Guilt is the Ultimate Dream Crusher

Guilt is the Ultimate Dream Crusher

Do you have goals or intentions that you’ve set month after month and you seem to fall short every time?

You’re taking all the aligned action (or so you think), but you hit a wall or burnout after each milestone.

You hire the coach, do the trainings, read self-help books, journal, meditate, etc. and it feels like your progress is slow or non-existent.

You think “What am I doing wrong?”

You feel like giving up, shutting everything down, and returning to what life would be like before you started this journey in the first place.

Your family and friends tell you how illogical what you’re doing is and to face the reality.

You constantly share your purpose and share your light of your gift with the utmost excitement and conviction.

However, they ask you to stop talking about it so much because they think it’s all you talk about.

Reflective Part 2

Reflective Part 2

We are in the last month of 2018!

A lot has happened for me this year for better or for worse.

I made < $5k so far in 2018 in my business.

I invested every last ounce of money I saved up in my health.

Why did this happen?

I spent the majority of 2018 living in fear and escaping every chance I had.

  • With food

  • With substances

  • With working more

All my offers were ridden with doubt, but a small voice kept saying “be patient and don’t give up!”

When you look back at your past and realize you’ve had it all the entire time.

I had everything I could have wanted and felt like I had nothing.

  • A family who loves me

  • A thriving relationship

  • (what I thought was) my dream job

  • A community who supports me

  • An abundance of food, shelter, clothing, and money

With decades of childhood conditioning, I became blind-sighted by it.

I couldn’t see any of it.

Is a Picture Worth 1000 Words?

Is a Picture Worth 1000 Words?

📸 Is a picture really worth 1000 words? 📸

Like the old saying goes, we would capture snapshots to remember key moments at events for generations to come.

As technology has advanced, its come to the point where our social media feeds are full of daily stories of images and videos.

It feels like information overload! 🙈🙉

We want to impress our friends and followers with a picture perfect life.

Is this really what real life looks like?

Instead, we are devaluing the actual moment by trying to show it off in order to feel like our lives are good enough.

Am I a Fraud? Part 2

Am I a Fraud? Part 2

Over the past year, I have learned so much about starting a business and how our past tends to creep up on us. When you decide to step into leadership and personal development, everything you thought you had worked through tends to come to the surface and could hinder you on your journey. The best thing you can do is love yourself, enjoy the ride, and remember the bigger picture when the shit comes up. You are not your past. Keep shining!

The Consequences of Non-Addressed Anger

The Consequences of Non-Addressed Anger

Anger is the result of unhealed/unprocessed emotions that have been germinating for decades stemming from childhood. If you continue to deny your anger, it will wreak havoc on your brain, immune system, and ultimately your entire life. It is vital to your health that you take care of it before it starts coming to the surface as physical symptoms. If you are someone who this resonates with and you want to find pure, unconditional love in your life, I invite you to read my latest blog where I share my life story on decades of unprocessed anger and how I have begun healing to spread this valuable message to the world.

Lessons Learned from a Lone Traveller

Lessons Learned from a Lone Traveller

Traveling alone was definitely the biggest leap I have ever taken out of my comfort zone.

Over the weekend, I traveled to Bassnectar's Freestyle Sessions in Colorado for 4 days and 5 nights.

From being a person who never took risks growing up, I have decided to release all limiting beliefs around that.

I learned so much about myself and others that I would not have had I gone with others.

It has been a wonderful opportunity to source myself and interact with new people.

For anyone who has wanted to take the leap, but is holding back, I want to share 11 lessons I learned that have helped me grow as a person over the past few days, which I will be able to use for the rest of my life.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day

I see many posts on Mother’s Day about all the beautiful moments people on social media are presenting.

What people don’t typically talk about are the people who have rocky relationships with their mothers, none at all, or they have passed on.

I have felt all sorts of feelings today such as jealousy, envy, frustration, guilt, and anger.

I honestly have been dreading today and am at peace that it’s over.

Why Did I Start Cooking?

Why Did I Start Cooking?

Cooking was not always something that came natural to me.

As a child, I naturally wanted to be in the kitchen.

I loved the smell of food.

I was curious about the connection of food from farm to table.

I enjoyed using my hands to create things.

Naturally, I loved watching my mom cook and wanted to learn myself.

However, my mom always shooed me out of the kitchen because of her own fears (My dad worked late so he was never home to cook).

Recognizing Mind and Body Awareness

Recognizing Mind and Body Awareness

What does it feel like to have full body awareness?

It could be a sensation in your gut.

It could be your mind feeling triggered from that car cutting you off in traffic.

Whatever it may be, your body and mind are always talking to you even if you don’t listen to it.

When these signals are being transferred from that point of our body, our mind will chime in and think up a feeling associated with this signal.

Lost in the Crowd

Lost in the Crowd

For those of you afraid of being alone, this blog is for you. I have been single for 4.5 months and have decided to use this as an opportunity to find myself. I used to never take risks such as going to shows alone. Growing up, I always played it safe because being comfortable felt much easier on the outside because I never dealt with my fear of rejection. It always scared me being alone because I felt like nobody wanted to be with me. I never felt good enough and as a result, manifested situations that validated me not feeling good enough. I would always depend on my friends for plans because I never felt capable of making them myself. In 2018, I decided to flip the switch on these beliefs and choose to feel like I am enough right now. There are plenty of people who love me and I don’t need validation from anyone else or a situation to feel that way. I chose to deeply love and accept myself instead. Sure, it seemed scary venturing out of my comfort zone, but it has been the most rewarding experience of my life every time I step into the next level version of myself. If you’re ready to step into the you that you’ve always wanted, check out my new blog where I share my most recent story about how I found myself in a crowd of 15k+ people.

The Connection Between Exercise and Entrepreneurship

The Connection Between Exercise and Entrepreneurship

Exercising has taught me many lessons about my business.

I never realized how much everything is connected.

When I first started my journey, it felt frustrating.

I felt like it was a struggle to get in shape.

It felt impossible like it would never happen.

What kept me going is accountability, mentors, and knowing deep down that’s what I truly wanted.

What kept me going was that small voice in the background saying “You can do it!” “This is what you want. Don’t give up!” when the voice saying “You suck and will never be as fit as your peers” was in the foreground.

My Dream Body

My Dream Body

I used to think in order to get my “dream body”, I had to work out extremely hard every single day and drastically restrict my diet.

I would feel guilty every time I have a cheat meal to the point where I wouldn’t enjoy the foods I love.

I woke up at 5:30 am to workout before work regardless of what my body told me to do.

I watched the scale and would freak out when my weight went up.

I cleansed multiple times a year to “remove all the toxins from the unhealthy food”

I was not listening to myself at all.

I was taking life so seriously.

It felt like maintaining my body was an ego trip.

Most of all, I had the body I desired and still hated my body.

Improving the Mind and Gut Connection

Improving the Mind and Gut Connection

For the past year and a half, I have made a choice to greatly reduce gluten, dairy, and added sugars from my diet.

My whole life, I indulged on junk food.

Whether it was chips and dip, pizza, or any fast food burger joint, it went into my body.

There were no regards for my diet whatsoever.

Junk food was a way for me to cope with the stress that was occurring around family-related matters as a child.

When I felt worthless or powerless about expressing myself freely to my family, I would go to food.

Reflections From Portland

Reflections From Portland

Every day, I learn how important it is to take care of myself.

It’s more than doing the fun activities.

How we think, feel, and act during those activities determines the level of self-care.

Pushing yourself past the point of exhaustion is not self-care.

Thinking/evaluating past interactions or the future of what still has to be done during pleasurable moments is also not self-care.

I learn that more every single day.

Running a business has been a roller coaster of emotions and learning to deal with everything that has not been healed.

Many lessons have been and will be learned, which is a crucial part of life’s experience.

One Step At a Time

One Step At a Time

Do you feel like you want to go from 0 to 100 in every aspect of your life?

You feel like you want a quick fix to everything.

It can range from having a meal ready for you immediately before you need to go to your next activity.

It can be losing those last 10 lbs in a week.

It can be having your business blow up overnight.

Whatever it is, it takes time to get there and tons of support.
