Food Substitution Blog: Potato Chips

I have a confession to make.

My guilty pleasure when I’m craving something savory is potato chips.

Basically, anything I could put into a dip is game over.

I will eat excessive amounts until past the point where I’m full.

Who knows how many calories I consumed.

Every time this happens, my belly feels empty inside.

I end up eating more than my fair share of actual food because my body didn’t receive any nutrition from those food choices.

When the evening is said and done, I’ve stuffed my face to oblivion. It’s a downward spiral from there.

I’ll feel the effects of this decision for days after the fact.

It’s not worth it to me anymore to throw myself out of commission like that.

After decades of this experience, I needed to find a better way to curb my craving without all of the consequences of eating potato chips.

I want to have the experience of that crunch without all the extra unnecessary oils from the chip bag.

I found that air frying different vegetables and legumes were a healthy compromise that hit the sweet spot.

I don’t feel sick and I end up eating much less.

Now, I get to share a few recipes that have suited my fancy to help others along their wellness journey.

Having the tools when craving strikes is the best medicine to move through it in a healthy way.
