Food Substitution Blog: Pasta

Pasta is becoming more of a staple food as we evolve in the 21st century.  Now, there are all types of foods from different cultures using pasta as the main source of nutrients in a meal. Pasta is becoming a more versatile food because people can add other vegetables instead of having the traditional pasta, meat, and cheese. One great substitution for pasta that I have found to be useful is using zucchini or spaghetti squash as noodles. Not only do you eliminate eating refined carbohydrates, but you are getting essential nutrients that your body needs in order to function properly. It makes the dish a lot lighter and you'll still get plenty full without the bloating or "food coma". Check out 5 recipes I found that take a new spin on pasta.
